
Ford has announced an in-car Wi-Fi system, Ford Sync, which allows passengers in the car to be connected to the Internet. The Ford Sync WiFi needs you to provide own USB modem 3G broadband, so you can set your car as a mobile WiFi hotspot. The system requires no additional hardware and software installations, and does not need Internet subscription packages through Ford.
The Ford Sync WiFi also ensures that your data is transmitted in a secure channel, provided that the WPA2 encryption and needs a password, so nobody can suck your bandwidth. The Sync system will be available in some Ford from 2010.
