DisplayLink is likely that some monitors USB 3.0 compatible preparation to be exhibited at CES in January. The high speed USB 3.0 super will become the main threat to VGA, DVI and HDMI. With the support of USB 3.0 standard, monitors DisplayLink USB 3.0 will be able to transfer video at speeds up to 4.8 gigabits per second. This allows the monitors to be connected with USB advanced GPU to display high definition content video.
The USB ports are commonly available on every PC and USB 3.0 ports will soon be widely available in future computers. And even the cheapest netbooks will further USB 3.0 ports, allowing connections to a bank of monitors without using DVI or VGA ports. USB 3.0 DisplayLink monitors are expected to hit store shelves before Christmas 2010.
