3D Scanner 3D Proforma is a much simplified scanning system that uses a camera to capture an object and creates textured 3D model of the object. Proforma is the abbreviation for “probabilistic feature-based on-line rapid acquisition model,” a system built by Pan Qi at the University of Cambridge. And the trial software is for Windows and Linux platforms soon.
It works on the basis of a webcam to scan the 3D image of an object is only necessary to hold the object in front of the camera and turn around.
