NTT DoCoMo plan to develop phones with Self-Healing Paint

Ever scratched your phone? You probably have, and were probably cursing the fact that the phones seem to be too vulnerable. We here at Gadgez View love new ideas that might one day innovate ways to use and benefit from mobile phones. The latest idea is Japan’s NTT DoCoMo, has announced plans to license special scratch resistant paint Nissan to use technology in their own mobile phones.

Nissan Paint Scratch Guard called and was developed by Nissan next to the University of Tokyo and advanced Softmaterials, Inc. Scratch Guard contains a special type of resin that when scratched, can self-heal normally during the night (with scratches extreme it may take up to one week).

Samsung with dual-sim phones, B5722 and C6112

Dual-sim phones are useful for some people especially for those who need to act in different characters in life. Samsung has got two new dual-sim phones, B5722 and C6112, which both will be arriving Europe this December.

The first dual-sim phone, Samsung B5722, pictured above, comes equipped with a 2.8 QVGA touchscreen display, supports quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity but sadly with no 3G. The first SIM card works on frequencies 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz frequencies, while the second SIM works on 900 / 1 800 MHz. Other goodies include TouchWiz Lite 1.0 UI, access to Facebook and MySpace, MP3 player, Bluetooth, FM radio, 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash, microSD card support up to 8GB and a 1200 mAh battery. This phone has also got the FCC approval but no indication when it’ll hit the North America.

Highscreen Zeus Announces By Vobis Computer, it’s a Second Android Smartphone

In July we reported on a new player in the Android market called Highscreen. Highscreen is a smartphone brand made by Vobis Computer, and in July released a device called the PP5420 that was virtually a Mobinnova Ice except with Android inside, and was launched in Russia.

Now the same company, Vobis Computer, has announced its next attempt at Android called the Highscreen Zeus, which will be launched in Russia at an unknown time for 13,990 rubles ($483 US). Needless to say, the Zeus has a much nicer ring to the name than PP5420 ever did.

Fortunately we were able to find a pic and some specs on this new device.
