RIM posts strong profit, but again Palm posts loss

Research in Motion and Palm – once the two leading manufacturers of smart phones – are now poles apart when it comes to revenue and profits. RIM has just posted excellent results for the third quarter of fiscal 2010 (ended November 28), announcing that it sold 10.1 million smartphones BlackBerry (including its 75 millionth unit) and added 4.4 million new BlackBerry users .

RIM’s revenue for Q3 of fiscal 2010 was 3.92 billion U.S. dollars, while its net income was 628.4 million U.S. dollars. Meanwhile, Palm has also published the results of the second quarter of fiscal 2010 (ended November 27) – is a different room from RIM, and RIM is based in Canada.

We hear Nokia rumored to consider Palm Buyout

I am always struck how populations can be influenced by mere rumors, but Palm shares jumped 8% today amid speculation the company may be bought control by Nokia. Now this is not the first time we’ve heard this rumor, but for some reason is the rejuvenation; word Palm-making have already been discussed in September 2008.

Interestingly, however, that the two companies did not have much in common. For example, Nokia has invested heavily in Maemo Symbian and Palm, while WebOS has already established its current operating system of choice. Nokia might be willing to takeover WebOS and make your own?

Palm GSM Pre Coming to North America November 27

Thus, a Pre Palm is finally in the flavors GSM in North America. Specifically, it comes to Telcel in Mexico on November 27. I know that many people were waiting to hear I was coming to the U.S., but no luck so far. At this point, the best option now is to find a sold Telcel in Mexico and is now unlocked. Who knows how much it will cost that option, but is the only way to get one here in the United States.

But if he comes to Mexico, there is a very good chance we will see in a neighboring country sometime in the near future. Do not hold your breath on it because there are plenty of tricks in this statement, but it certainly would be nice.
