Google has its own brand of phone, the nexus between one and are now working on a Google-branded netbook, and of course that will run the operating system from Google Chrome. Google has been working with several manufacturers to produce netbooks Chrome OS. But it will be only one manufacturer that Google is working closely with to produce a netbook really brand Google.

The Google-branded netbook will not be in the race for release. You will probably have to wait until Q4 or just before Christmas in 2010. Well, a Google-Chrome based netbook is wholly focused on the Web. I tried the USB version of the operating system of Google Chrome on my Dell Inspiron Mini. It is simply too “Web-centric”, features a Google browser Chrome-like interface for easy access to several online Google applications like Gmail, Picasa, Google Docs, etc.

But you can not go too far with the exception of online applications from Google. What if you want to develop some small PHP applications on the netbook? Maybe it will be a different story when Google successfully implanted Google-netbooks mark the end of next year.

Google and Best Buy have announced a new partnership that will make Google Mobile App available in Best Buy Mobile stores across the US. In consequence, users who have a Windows Mobile, BlackBerry or Symbian S60 smartphone can visit a Best Buy store and “get some help installing the app or to see a live demo of what the application can do.”

Also, if you’re buying a new phone at Best Buy, Google Mobile App can be installed as part of the Walk Out Working program.

“We are excited to offer users a new and more personalized way of getting Google on their smartphones. While Google Mobile App is available as a free download from m.google.com, often times users run into problems because they don’t have the right handset or data plan,” declared Marc Vanlerberghe, Director of Marketing at Google.

Google Mobile App includes features like My Location and search by voice, and at the same time provides quick access to Gmail, Google Maps, Google Search and so on.

Google announced that the Google Search by voice feature is now available for Nokia’s Symbian S60 handsets. Integrated into the latest version of Google Mobile App, the feature lets you search for almost anything (from “restaurants” to “movie times” and so on) without having to type your queries.

Of course, if you prefer not to search by voice, you can always just type what you want to look for – there’s a shortcut that can be placed on your Nokia phone’s home screen for that. Google also said that, from now on, Search by voice is available in Mandarin Chinese (the most spoken language in the world).

Mandarin Chinese voice recognition currently works with Nokia’s S60 devices only, but Google promises it will soon bring it to other platforms like Android and iPhone.

A funny video presentation of how Google Search by voice works on a Nokia S60 smartphone can be watched below:
