Panasonic Toughbook CF-H1 Mobile Assistant is a rugged portable computer
Usefulness and necessity of field service agents rugged laptops to streamline their daily tasks. The recently announced Panasonic Toughbook CF-H1 Mobile Assistant is a rugged laptop that fits perfectly into this category.
The Toughbook CF-H1 Mobile Assistant has been housed in a sturdy case that can withstand drops and other harsh conditions, such as vibration, humidity, altitude, temperature extremes and thermal shock. Its hallmark is IP65 compliant for water, rain and dust resistance.
The CF-H1 packs an Intel Atom Z540 1.86GHz processor, 2GB DDR2 SDRAM, a 64GB SSD, a 10.4-inch XGA screen capable LCD Touch Dual runs Windows 7 Pro, but downgrade to Windows XP SP 3 if Windows 7 is not their choice. The device is lightweight and has a handle that allows easy one-handed catch.
The screen lets you see clearly even in conditions. It offers fingerprint reader for security printing. It also has Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi and HSPA connectivity. The HSPA is definitely great, allows you to stay connected while in remote areas. Optional features include 2-megapixel webcam integrated barcode reader 2D.
The battery lasts up to 6 hours and features dual battery design which allows a hot swap anywhere for the CF-H1 to last an entire shift between charges. No information on price and availability.
