Insdream SX601 is an eBook reader that looks quite like the Amazon Kindle. It also has a 6-inch screen, but instead of the usual E-ink display is chosen by a 16-grayscale level DSTN panel.
Insdream claims the benefit of its panel of DSTN is faster cooldown with energy efficiency as well as a panel of E-Ink. However, it has reduced the contrary, while in comparison with E Ink and is not suitable for use in low light conditions. The Insdream e-book reader has no wireless connectivity, so users must rely on the use of USB drives or memory cards to upload and download files.
The reader supports Insdream formats include TXT, HTML, PDF, EPUB, AP, FB2, CHM, RTF, TCR, and OpenReader OEB. The battery can last two weeks in reading. It also has horizontal and vertical modes, which can be activated by a push button. The extras include an MP3 player, text to speech in English and Mandarin, a calendar, image viewer, calculator and search functionality. You can also maintain their own digital agenda in this device, which Insdream calls the function as a blog.
