Delta to ship 13.1-inch color e-reader in Q2 2010
Taiwnese Delta Electronics is developing a new 13.1-inch color e-Reader and planning for sending the e-Reader before the end of Q2 this year. Also have a black and white version that comes with a much smaller screen of 8.1 inches only.
Both Delta e-mail readers use the paper Bridestones technology and are enabled to play. The technology promises Bridestones color display and efficient electronic paper with a fast refresh rate. Delta’s products are the first group to use this technology. Delta is still looking for partners to brand and market their e-reader devices, so that Delta will become the contract manufacturer.
Delta also plans to market themselves, while at the same time they are looking for content providers in Taiwan. The Delta mail readers will be equipped with 3G or WiFi module dependent on the obligation.
