Audiovox has come up with a remote control hub, called Zentral

Audiovox has created a remote control center, called Zentral, which allows mobile phone with Bluetooth to work as a remote control for various gadgets in his house. The Zentral receives signals from the smart phone via Bluetooth and translate the infrared signals to transmit commands to your home entertainment (TV, stereo, home theater, etc.) and automation systems.

The Zentral is basically a small box equipped with a Bluetooth receiver and infrared transmitter that is powerful enough to bounce the IR signals on the walls and ceilings. Therefore, there is no problem at all how you place the Zentral can only sit at the top of any of its equipment for home entertainment (as shown in the picture).

Currently, the Zentral comes with universal remote control application for the iPhone, so you can use the iPhone to control various home entertainment and automation devices through Zentral. There is also an application for the BlackBerry, which allows control of garage door opening.

The system plus accessories come in all at affordable prices, as the AV controller costs $ 80 and garage door is only $ 50. More home automation gadgets will be included later, such as lighting and thermostat. That will go on sale in spring.
