
Audi will be equipping its A8 sedan with a satellite navigation system that is capable of transmitting data from Google Earth. The A8 with Google Earth based on satellite navigation is the first production of an official car.
The satellite navigation system for the Audi A8 has an internal hard drive and the system uses GPRS / EDGE data connectivity keeps Google Earth streamed into the system. The system’s hard disk should be useful, while Internet connectivity is out.
Google Earth allows satellite navigation to display the buildings, landscapes, as well as gradients and terrain in 3D. It is based on Google Earth Satnav be installed in the 2010-model Audi A8. Does not indicate whether the system will go to some other lower-end models.
