Pelikon MorphTouch is an interesting accessory for your mobile phones and MIDs, which can morph into a QWERTY keyboard or a touch pad depending on the applications or gaming that you’re using or playing. For example while you’re using an application that involves heavy texting such as emailing or composing a document, it’ll present itself as a regular QWERTY keyboard. While you’re playing a game, the MorphTouch will turn into a gamepad.

The user can even program the module with dedicated keys for accessing some specific services or applications. The little MorphTouch should let you increase your productivity if you do not mind the hassle of having to bring an additional gadget with you while you’re on the run.

TiVo Premiere, which has just been announced by the company is a single set-top box that is able to replace almost all you have in your current home entertainment system. The TiVo Premiere has two versions available, which are one with 320GB HDD that allows up to 45 hours of HD recoding and is priced at $300. And the other version is with 1TB HDD, allows up to 150 hours of HD video recording and costs $500.

Each TiVo Premiere has wide screen interface that is more user-friendly, and is equipped with Ethernet Internet connection, allows it to pull contents from the Internet including Netfix and and Amazon Video On Demand. One distinct capability of the TiVo Premiere is it works like a search engine that searches the shows you want from all sources such as those on broadcast channels, video-on-demand, Netflix, Amazon Video On Demand, etc.

The Premiere also has CableCard slot, so you can replace your existing Cable box. Most homes these days may lack of an Ethernet jack but you could wait for a few months later in June, when TiVo will release a WiFi N adapter for the Premiere. A remote control with QWERTY will also be released later this year, which is great for faster typing of what shows you want it to search.

Two caveats: Cost, at $13 a month depending on the plan you pick and lacking of playback capability of 3D broadcasts at full HD.

If you’re a tailor who always travels around to meet some of your clients, you’d probably need a portable sewing machine that you could carry around and do some adhoc sewing to suit some fuzzy requirements of your clients.

Here comes a little Portable Sewing Machine, which looks pretty cute, and is suitable for you who’re one of the aforementioned. It’s a cordless double-stitch sewing machine with a sturdy base and a handle for moving. It’s good enough to work on multiple kinds of fabrics including denim, silk and leather.

This little sewing machine comes with three needles, one threader, and one spindle, and it accepts standard spools of thread. Of course, such a mini-sized sewing machine is not suitable for any big projects. But it should come in handy when you need some adhoc sewing or to fix a torn dress while you’re on the go.

Although WiFi is pretty common these days, but if you always deal with bandwidth-hungry applications, you should then make use of powerline Ethernet for much higher data transfer speeds to eliminate your frustrations.

Netgear has announced two HomePlug® AV-certified Powerline adapter kits, which allow you to make use of your home electrical outlets to transmit data at super high speeds of up to 500Mbps theoretically. The two Netgear Powerline kits are the compact Powerline AV 500 Adapter Kit (XAVB5001) and the Powerline AV+ 500 Adapter Kit (XAVB5501) with a filtered “pass-through” power socket.

These Netgear Powerline kits were designed to be compatible with the draft international IEEE P1901 Powerline standard. They’re best used for applications that require high data bandwidth such as VOIP, lag-free Internet gaming, huge file transfer between networked devices, and even multiple streaming of Blu-ray videos at full HD 1080p quality from your computers or players to multiple TVs throughout the entire home.

The Netgear Powerline AV 500 Adapter Kit (XAVB5001) comes in a compact form factor, which is 50% relatively smaller than its market rivals. The compact design doesn’t block an open power outlet when plugged in, leaving you with some rooms for other power plugs.

The Netgear Powerline AV+ 500 Adapter Kit (XAVB5501) shares same performance and design benefits as the XAVB5001. The only difference is it’s integrated with the filtered power socket with pass-through capability, which ensures a power outlet with the adapter plugged in is not cannibalized. No information on the pricing but they’ll be out sometime in Q3.

It’s just a basic GSM cellphone that has a 2.4-inch touchscreen, a 1.3 megapixel camera, FM radio, Bluetooth, MP3 player. And like many other China-made cellphones, it offers dual-sim capability. The best is it costs only $185. Buying a China-made mobile phone is simply at your own risk. There is no guarantee that this is going to work on your cellular provider network. Please read the warning on the product page before hitting the “Add To Cart” button.

Growing plants might not be an easy task, if you do not know the know-how. Well, hand this little complex task to an automated planter pot called Click and Grow, which will take care everything of growing your plants from watering to fertilizing.

The Click and Grow pot has various sensors, a processor and a software in the pot. The system doesn’t use soil to grow your plants. It actually uses a system called aeroponics, which grows plants in an air or mist environment.

The user first needs to place a plant cartridge that contains some seeds into the pot, fill the water tank and download the proper growth program to the pot via your computer’s USB port, and the system will then take care of the rest.

The Click and Glow pots will be available with basic and advanced models. The basic model still needs the grower to refill the water tank and it will notify the grower when it needs to be refilled. The more expensive or advanced model will take care of everything for you including refilling the water tank.

The Click and Glow pots will start at a price around 17 Euros, with seed cartridges to sell for between 2.5 and 4 Euros at nurseries or over the Internet.
