Fermilab 570-megapixel camera packs a total of 74 CCD sensors
There is no great thing about a 50-megapixel camera, as we now have the higher megapixel on earth, a 570-megapixel camera that is being built by Fermilab.
570 The Fermilab-megapixel camera packs a total of 74 CCD sensors and mass of all these components are enclosed in a case that is as big as a Mini Cooper. This 570-megapixel camera has no intention of taking all the pictures on earth. That is to take pictures in space, to detect if there is always dark energy which could help explain the expanding universe and the kind of Big Bang.
The 570-megapixel camera is costing $ 35 million will be massive and mounted on a telescope in Chile once it is complete. It will be used for 5 years to allocate over 300 billion galaxies.
