I am always struck how populations can be influenced by mere rumors, but Palm shares jumped 8% today amid speculation the company may be bought control by Nokia. Now this is not the first time we’ve heard this rumor, but for some reason is the rejuvenation; word Palm-making have already been discussed in September 2008.
Interestingly, however, that the two companies did not have much in common. For example, Nokia has invested heavily in Maemo Symbian and Palm, while WebOS has already established its current operating system of choice. Nokia might be willing to takeover WebOS and make your own?
We know, however, that Nokia has its fair share of trouble getting any kind of strength in the smart phone market with strong competition, like the iPhone and Android large number of devices now emerging. If there is any merit to the rumor, probably mean Nokia expects to add strength to their market share of smartphones.
