Nokia Smartphones to get free GPS navigation
Nokia has officially announced that they will provide step free GPS turn navigation services for all Nokia smartphones worldwide. There are some Nokia smartphones are now enjoying free GPS navigation as the 5800 edition of shipping and navigation of 2700 edition. And it will add more GPS phones for free, which are listed for you after the jump.
The Nokia GPS phones Nokia Smart service is also supported by Ovi, Nokia Maps, with a new version of the maps are available, including large walk final drive and navigation at no additional cost, turn-by-step guide voice for 74 countries in 46 languages, and the traffic information of more than 10 countries and detailed maps of more than 100 countries.
Ovi maps can be downloaded from Nokia website. You also get free event guides, free free Lonely Planet and Michelin guides in the system. The list of currently supported phones are:
- Nokia X6
- Nokia N97 Mini
- Nokia E72
- Nokia E55
- Nokia E52
- Nokia 6730 Classic
- Nokia 6710 Navigator
- Nokia 5800 XpressMusic
- Nokia 5800 Edition of navigation
- Nokia 5230
The Nokia N97 is not on the list above, but will give the Ovi map from January 28, while the Nokia N900, probably will not free shipping. Nokia is launching smart phones pre-loaded with maps of Ovi from March.
