Nokia-N-Gage-2010-end

Launched in the first half of 2008, Nokia’s N-Gage mobile gaming platform will end its life sooner than everyone has probably thought. Nokia has just announced that N-Gage.com and the N-Gage Arena will stop being operational after 2010, while N-Gage games will be available for purchase until September 2010 only.

The reason for all this is Nokia’s new Ovi Store, which, apart from providing various apps, Maps and Music, will act as a “one store front with an even broader portfolio of games – games for everyone.” From now on, there will be no new Nokia phones to come with N-Gage. However, there will still be previously-announced models that will be shipped with N-Gage pre-installed.

The Rachael will be Sony Ericsson’s first Android smartphone.
